New Disposal Rules
In 2022 the government brought in the Fisheries Amendment Act 2022 that changed reporting requirements for fish disposals. The rules came into effect in 2023.
To support Fishers to meet the new rules, Fishserve created a set of guides for FMA1, FMA2, FMA3, FMA5, FMA7, FMA8 and FMA9. They list commonly caught species and provide the stock code that applies to the area being fished and the disposal codes that can be used.
